Ah yes, I was very pleased to discover the kosher elf situation myself earlier this year as part of snacks at the after school program. It made life much nicer that that the cookies were kosher and cute.

And maybe the elves did convert and decide to keep kosher- that would explain why they have the hechsher now. Interestingly, a lot of organic stuff is kosher- I guess they figure it is easy enough to do since much of it is vegetarian anyway, why not go all out. Trader Joe's has some really fun kosher stuff.
