Glad you made it back safe and sound, and that it wasn't a completely horrid travel experience.

Minus the added security fun, my last transatlantic return trip (Vienna->Heathrow->Chicago) was similar. Isn't it nice when delays stack up so that your connecting flight is still there waiting for you? Hopefully your luggage experience will be similar to mine-- fog at Heathrow (serious fog-- bad for *London*.) had caused the delays, so everything was backed up, and the luggage didn't change planes with me. So they knew where it was (I'm guessing that's the case with yours since no one from your connecting flight got theirs), and mine was put on the first flight in the morning, and delivered to my house the next day (IIRC, they just paid a taxi driver to drive it there). And yeah, I got a wacky fun travel story to tell (the extended version also has goofy pilots, odd seatmates, and lederhosen).
