"Munch, munch," said the paper shredder

I am going to hazzard a guess that attributing speech to yet another inanimate piece of technology in the office is a sign that it is a very good thing tomorrow is my last day. Well, really, today was, but I didn't quite finish, so I am going back in tomorrow to get those last few things done.

And I found out a bit more about what I am teaching starting on Tuesday - apparently, very little math. But lots of writing. Which, I have decided, is just fine.

The amazing thing is, I suddenly have so much more energy. I can't quite say why, but I am thankful for it after the way I have been feeling for at least the past few days. I actually began to clean my room tonight! This is a big improvement over staring at the mess and feeling completely overwhelmed.

Did I mention that my room was supposed to get cleaned about a month and a half ago?

I feel so much better now.

Shalom, Taylweaver.

I hope that your room-cleaning allows you to maintain the exhilirant spirit of energy that you say you have been feeling for the last few days. On the rare occasions when I clean my room, it always goes a long way to lift me out of depression.

I think i was supposed to clean my room about 4 years ago. It still hasn't much happened. Oh well.

If you read more carefully, you will find that the point of this entry was that I have not had energy for the past few days - and suddenly I did last night.

And for me, cleaning my room seems to be more an effect of my emotional state, not a cause, in this case.

Yes. I guess I did (slightly) misread your post. What I thought you had written was that you had not had energy for a while before, and then some time in the last few days (rather than last night) you had suddenly re-gained it.

In any event, my point was that there is a two-way stream. Gaining the energy leads to room-cleaning, and room-cleaning leads to more energy.

Shabbath Shalom.
