My father's advice

On Thursday, my father had a wonderful idea on how to get married: Pick a wedding date, and then all you have to worry about is finding the guy. Simple, no?

lol. That's so amusing. How'd he come up with that one? Tell him to find me the guy and I'll be happy to invite him. :)

Now... see.. it's not so hard in that case. The trick is for you to be happy w/ the guy he finds. No returns allowed. All rights reserved, etc.. etc..

Sure, if only it was that easy...
And R, I'm still curious what the context of that was. How did he come to say that?

And now I'm *really* wondering what the context was....

Actually, I don't remember. I think he was in the middle of a conversation with someone else - they were discussing her upcoming wedding, and when it was scheduled for, and another wedding coming up... and then I think he wanted to know when my wedding was going to be. My guess is that I told him I needed to find a guy first, and that is what led to the comment - but to be honest, I really don't recall.

I think the idea was that I would find the guy, not him.

Ah, interesting. I think I get it more clearly now. A lot of weddings going on. It's summer so I guess this would be the season. I thought your dad knew about certain things, but I guess not.
