That's scary. Because that's exactly how my thought process went when I analyzed the comment (except for the fact about wondering whether it was me who wrote it - I was pretty clear about that one). I even wrote a comment that had Thought 2 in it - both points! - but then thought it was a little too much to post. I did guess it was MarGavriel - the spelling of 'Ashkenazzim' gave that away.
