Hi all.

So you should all be proud of me for not venting about the migraines. (I've been getting one roughly every 2-3 days. There. Venting done. And yes, I did see a doctor.)

So I tried excedrin migraine this morning. It is basically aspirin, tylenol and a cup of coffee in a pill. (Which is to say, there is nothing too scary in it - which is a good thing.)

The good news: it worked.
The bad news: it has side effects.
The lack of news: no clue how the caffiene affected my ability to fall back asleep because said side-effects kept me awake anyway.

And in other news...

Last night, I posted a userpic to my fictional LJ, [livejournal.com profile] taylwoven.

If you read the entry and comments, you will find out where Anna got the userpic. I just wanted to clarify, though, as to where *I* got it - because I don't jog, and it wasn't taken with a cell phone. (This line makes more sense if you have read the aforementioned entry and comments.) I did take the photo myself - and crop it down. (If anyone can tell me how to reduce the size of a photo without cropping, I am listening... well, reading, technically...)

Remember the day when I went to the museum for Spanish class? (Oh, look: this entry actually connects to the previous one - yay continuity.) Well, I had my camera with me to use at the museum. (yes, they allow photography - just no flash. Hooray for digital cameras because they adjust the exposure time accordingly. The photos are blurry, but at least they came out properly exposed.) Anyway, on the way to the subway that morning, I walked past a butterfly sitting on a railing in front of a building. I kept walking, then realized I had my camera, went back, and snapped some photos.

Anyway, just wanted to clarify that.

Oh, and do feel free to read Anna's blog and interact with it. It's more fun that way, and the more people interact with the story, the more likely the story is to continue.

Hi all.

I may post another entry later to vent further about my Spanish class...

But, in the meantime, I have decided to give the blog novel - or story, anyway - another try. Feel free to check it out (or friend it, or tell other people to friend it) at the same place as last time, [livejournal.com profile] taylwoven, but the blog now belongs to a different fictional character.

Same rules as last time: feel free to post in-character. If you have a comment about the writing or storyline or whatever, post it on this blog. And, like last time, I reserve the right to delete comments if they don't fit the story arc the way I want them to. (But don't let that deter you from commenting.)

Happy reading.

[livejournal.com profile] taylwoven has updated.

But I think I may stop noting that here. If you have critique to offer, just post it on my latest entry in this journal.

If you want to know when [livejournal.com profile] taylwoven has posted, add her to your friendslist.

So I started the other blog. You can find it at [livejournal.com profile] taylwoven - react as you will to the name. It sounded appropriate.

I will ask, however, that you respect the reality of my fictional blog by posting all comments about what I am doing as its author on this blog. I encourage you, however, to comment on the content of the blog entries just as if it were any other blog that you might read. That is, I invite you to step into [livejournal.com profile] taylwoven's reality and interact with her as you would any other blogger.

And please note: though I try to avoid deleting comments on this blog, I will be less hesitant on that one. I intend to retain control of [livejournal.com profile] taylwoven's reality, and I will delete comments that undermine that in any way I disapprove of.

I will try to note on this blog when I have updated the other so that you have a place for critique-type comments if you choose to offer them.

And please feel free to add [livejournal.com profile] taylwoven to your friendslist, and to link to it on your blog, etc. Just remember that the writing is mine - so don't copy and paste. Not that I need to tell you guys that.

So I still don't know if I have a job. That's because the supervisors still haven't heard about funding.

And today is the last day of my student medical insurance.

Just wanted to share that.

In other news, I am seriously considering the novel as blog entries idea. And I was thinking perhaps something not fantasy/scifi related - unless that is what people would rather see...But I am currently considering an idea that is more in the real world. Opinions?
