Well, if by polish you mean check the grammar and such, I know how to do that but I want to do more than that before showing it to friends.
If by polish you mean make changes bigger than grammar, that's the part where I don't know how to do it.
And yeah, I know to give it time. Part of my frustration with myself was that I already gave it plenty of time - but *before* I finished it. So every time I went back and added a new scene, I felt like I was resetting the clock. But now, after I let it sit, I can actually revise - once I figure out how.
